Flicker effect
A brief flash of the original page before the variant appears, caused by a test that changes the page after it starts to load.
Flicker happens when a testing script applies its changes after the browser has already drawn the original page. Shoppers see the old headline or price for a moment, which looks broken and can bias the results.
Some tools hide the whole page until the test loads, which trades flicker for a slower page. Elevate does not hide your page. Its script runs at the top of the page so most changes happen before or as the page is first drawn. A brief flash is still possible on slow devices.
