Conversion rate

The share of visitors who complete a goal, usually a purchase: conversions divided by visitors, multiplied by 100.

If 1,500 visitors produce 30 orders, your conversion rate is 2%. The goal does not have to be a purchase. An add-to-cart or an email signup can be the conversion for a single page.

Keep the denominator consistent. Elevate counts each visitor once, however many times they come back, while Shopify Analytics and GA4 count sessions. Compare numbers from the same source.

Why conversion rate is not enough

A lower price usually lifts conversion rate and can still lose money. When you test prices, offers or bundles, judge the result on revenue per visitor, which counts both how many people buy and how much they spend. Read more in how to increase conversion rate on Shopify.

“Came across this app after experimenting with Google optimize. I would say this is more user friendly to review impact of the test. Also, much easier to set up than Google Optimize in my opinion.”
